I think that soup is one of the ultimate comfort foods. It’s great if you are under the weather, if it’s cold outside, and can be considered a very light meal depending on which kind you choose to eat. I love soup but most nights I don’t have the time to make it from scratch. My secret is to keep lots and lots of canned soup in the cupboard so that when I am craving it (or need a quick meal), I can have dinner in less than 10 minutes! If I’m at the store and I see it on sale, I’ll stock up and buy at least 10 cans! I like to pick different kinds so that I can have a variety and always have choices. Last night I didn’t really have the energy to make dinner but around 7pm my stomach was growling so I went to the cupboard, picked out some chicken noodle soup, put it on the stove to cook, and toasted a bagel to eat with it. My favorite things to have with soup are either a toasted bagel with lots of butter on it or crackers. Depending on how hungry you are, you can eat the whole can of soup or save half for later. If it’s a light broth based soup, I’ll usually eat it all! So, here is my advice to you all- next time you are at the grocery store and see that your favorite soup is 10 for $10 or a good sale price, snatch up a bunch of them! Soup usually has a long expiration date so you can keep them forever in the cupboard until you are ready to eat them!
Note: Soup is a great and healthy meal choice as long as it is low in calories, fat, and sodium. Be sure to check these nutritional facts before purchasing several cans of a specific soup!

Nice post. This is something even I can make — canned soup with a bagel. Mahalo!
Btw, have you changed the design of the blog or is my computer kapakahi?
